DC
Young Poz Socials is an informal social group geared for Washington,
D.C. area HIV-positive guys in their 20s and 30s.
Activities include parties, picnics, sporting events, hiking, theatre
outings and other recreational and social events. We do not discriminate
on the basis of age, never check id’s or the like. ‘Young at heart’
is what is important. We hope you will join us soon, and make new friends, also. There is no
cost to join. From

the group has been such a tremendous help for me this past few days.
Being diagnosed in just a couple of weeks and with no one truly
to talk to and discuss this matter was so depressing and extremely scary
before I "joined" the group. I've
been known to be a very optimistic person and yet those 1st few days
were the worse I've gone through in my life so far.
I've never felt so isolated and helpless in my entire life. Anyway,
the amount of support and advice I've received from those in the group
has been extremely helpful to me in so many ways.
Instead of feeling completely depressed and hopeless about the
whole thing, I've gotten my sense of optimism back.
It's still a bit hard to focus on things right now, but I'm
pretty sure I'm on the mends now—so to speak.
I still have a lot of hurdles and goals to achieve in the next
few wks but at this point, I know I can only take it 1 step at a time. I would definitely like to start meeting some of the members in person sometime soon.

________________________________________ DCYPS Dinner Night out Our next social dinner will be Thursday Mar. 27th at Dupont Italian Kitchen (DIK)1637 17th Street NW. This is a great way to meet some of the guys in a more intimate setting, especially for those more on the shy side. After we will hit a local bar for drinks!
